Lara Aulestia Founder & CEO, 1060 Advisors
Lara Aulestia has operated at the highest levels of both the corporate media ecosystem and the high-stakes world of political and public affairs advertising. With over two decades of experience, she brings a rare 360-degree perspective that spans the buy side, the sell side, and the campaign war room.
Lara has overseen $100M+ in advertising spend across some of the most complex, fast-moving campaigns in the country. Her clients have included Fortune 50 corporations navigating crisis or regulatory battles, Super PACs and independent expenditure campaigns, coalitions defending or defeating legislation, and firms that need a trusted partner to scale paid media on short timelines with real accountability. In addition to media, she keeps herself up on technology innovations through her angel investment arm making strategic investments in highly technical areas such as AI, Robotics, and CPaaS.
As a practitioner, she has worked inside Demand Side Platforms, Supply Side Platforms, Owned and Operated TV Networks, standalone streaming services, online and broadcast radio groups, and has been embedded in TV Upfronts and Newfronts. That inside knowledge of how media is bought, priced, packaged, and sometimes obscured gives her clients a structural advantage in a space where opacity is the norm.
Lara founded 1060 Advisors to bring that expertise directly to campaigns and organizations that cannot afford to waste budget or time. Her firm has executed multi-7-figure issue campaigns launched in 48 hours, managed 8-figure rural outreach programs across 20 states in low-broadband markets, navigated merger approval campaigns across presidential administrations, executed guerrilla marketing campaigns including large-scale building projections in Washington, DC, and run grassroots legislative defense campaigns so effective that sitting legislators personally requested the ads be taken down.
Her work spans the full media mix: CTV, linear television, programmatic display, paid social, out-of-home, mobile billboards, radio, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), Spanish-language media, guerrilla marketing, influencer programs, SMS, and print. She approaches each as an integrated system, built around where target audiences consume media and what it takes to move them.
Lara has grown revenue from zero to upper eight figures for a startup, scaled a Fortune 10 company's political revenue category by 11X, and managed a nine-figure annual budget. She has negotiated hundreds of MSAs and media contracts and built cross-functional teams across product, legal, operations, and strategy.
She is a recognized speaker and moderator having presented for Campaigns and Elections, AAPC, trade association member meetings, political clubs, AT&T, Campaign Trend podcast and more on topics ranging from media transparency and where campaign dollars actually go, to reaching hard-to-reach audiences in rural markets to Converged TV strategies.
After many years in Washington, DC and Annapolis, MD she and her husband, two kids and Hurricane rescue dog now spend most of their time in Naples, FL. 1060 is the mileage between Naples and our Nation's Capital, two places Lara spends a lot of time. The image of the palm tree over the District of Columbia represents an understanding of how DC works, but with a fresh, outside experience and point-of-view.
